Direct Support Professional - Taberg, NY (Oneida county)

Are you looking for a rewarding way to make a difference while making a living?Advocates is seeking a creative and compassionate Mentor (Direct Support Professional [DSP]/one-on-one support staff) to work with a young man with a developmental disability. In this critical role, you will help him in learning key independent living skills, teach him skills to communicate and interact with others, and assist him in experiencing social, recreational, and physical fitness opportunities in the community. The ideal candidate for the DSP position will have effective communication and leadership skills, patience, and strong organizational skills. DSP must have a valid email address.Hours and days of workA total of 10 hours is available per week.The schedule can be flexible Monday through Friday.Pay rate: $21.30 per hour when providing direct support.
