Asset Management Associate

A real estate organization in Chicago is seeking an Asset Management Associate to join their team on a 3-6 month contract with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position. This role offers a competitive rate of $45-$50 per hour and is ideal for someone with asset or property management experience who understands how to read financial statements. The Asset Management Associate will oversee real estate assets and projects while collaborating with internal teams, property managers, and external partners. Responsibilities of the Asset Management Associate:

• Monitor assigned properties and support overall asset management objectives.
• Review property financials, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Coordinate with property managers on operations, maintenance, and performance.
• Conduct property inspections and administrative reviews to ensure compliance.
• Assist with capital improvement planning and newly constructed property lease-ups.
• Prepare required reports for investors, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
• Track invoices, support internal processes, and maintain third-party relationships.

Qualifications of the Asset Management Associate:

• 5+ years of related experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
• Previous asset or property management experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Ability to read and understand financial statements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of relevant real estate policies, regulations, and industry practices.
• LIHTC or NMTC experience preferred; ability to travel throughout the Midwest required.
