Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a Long-Term Care/Specialized Nursing Facility environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Job Details

Shift: Nights
Shift Length: 12 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for the following:

Providing nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
Monitoring and documenting patient progress and responding to changes in patient conditions.
Collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assisting with daily living activities and providing emotional support to residents.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role or setting.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Facility Information

This facility is a Long-Term Care/Specialized Nursing Facility with a total of 42 beds. The nursing staff consists of 2 nurses during day and evening shifts and 1 nurse during the night. The facility uses PCC as its electronic medical record system. The patient care focuses on a mix of long-term care, memory care, dementia, and orthopedic patients.
