What You’ll Do

• Assemble fiber laser machines and precision subassemblies using detailed drawings, schematics, and work instructions

• Work hands-on with mechanical and electrical components to bring complex systems to life

• Perform testing and quality checks, ensuring every machine meets performance standards

• Use ERP systems (like SAP) to track progress and document your work

• Prepare tools, materials, and workstations to ensure efficient assembly processes

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality production standards

• Collaborate with your team to solve problems and improve processes

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency

• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and aligned with safety protocols

What You Bring

• 3+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment

• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions

• Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures

• Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or production tracking systems

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and cross-train

Nice to Have:

• Experience in machine building or servicing complex equipment

• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems

• Experience in high-tech manufacturing or automation

• Associate degree or technical training

You’ll be working in a new, high-tech manufacturing facility designed for efficiency and innovation. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
