The position involves providing nursing care in the operating room setting, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Qualifications Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skills Preferred: BSN Minimum one year RN experience in OR setting (scrub and circulating) Certifications and Licenses Required Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement BLS from the American Heart Association Scheduling Requirements Evening Shift, 32 hours Part Time Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation On-Call Essential Functions The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The Registered Nurse ensures safety in practice, maintains knowledge of evidence-based practice, and communicates with and utilizes resources available. The Registered Nurse reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors. The Registered Nurse is knowledgeable about the patient population served. The Registered Nurse supervises and directs delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. The Registered Nurse consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. The Registered Nurse is an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize plans for specific patients.
