Senior Software Engineer II

As a key player in data engineering, the full-time Senior Software Engineer II will develop, optimize, and automate data pipelines while leading complex projects and mentoring other engineers in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable data solutions with a focus on automation using tools such as Airflow and dbt Managing a large portfolio of dbt models and advocating for test-driven development and continuous integration processes Monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines, while architecting scalable solutions that align with business needs Required qualifications Minimum 7+ years of experience in software development, particularly with Python, SQL, and data pipelines Expertise in building and automating ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow and managing dbt models Deep experience with databases like PostgreSQL and BigQuery, including query optimization Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform Strong command of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and test-driven development
