Interim Controller

About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to support a private equity-backed, organization. This individual will oversee day-to-day accounting and financial reporting while partnering closely with operational leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong controllership experience and a solid background in percentage-of-completion, project-based, or construction accounting . Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting and controllership activities Oversee month-end close and financial reporting Manage accounting for project-based operations Ensure accurate revenue recognition and project accounting Oversee percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting Review project costs, margins, estimates and profitability Partner with operational leaders on project financial performance Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and accounting controls Identify and resolve accounting and reporting issues Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis as needed Assist with audit and other finance-related initiatives Provide hands-on leadership to the accounting team during the interim engagement Required Experience Controller or senior-level accounting leadership experience Strong percentage-of-completion, project accounting, or construction accounting experience Experience within a project-based services environment Strong understanding of revenue recognition, job costing and cost-to-complete accounting Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on interim environment Strong communication and operational partnership skills Preferred Experience Private equity-backed company experience Experience within project-based, field services, construction, engineering, specialty services or similar environments Prior interim or consulting experience Logistics Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days per week onsite in Northern Colorado #J-18808-Ljbffr
