Systems Engineer

Job TitleJob Description: Pay Range: $59.46hr - $64.46hrRequirement/Must Have:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure support, or monitoring roles.2+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace or similar APM/monitoring tools.Experience monitoring Windows and Linux servers.Experience with virtualized environments such as VMware.Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.Basic understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing.Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.Experience:Experience configuring and optimizing Dynatrace dashboards, alerts, and health checks.Experience monitoring databases, middleware, and network components.Experience supporting synthetic and real user monitoring.Experience participating in incident response and root cause analysis.Experience with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell or Bash preferred.Familiarity with Kubernetes or container monitoring preferred.Experience in regulated industries preferred.Knowledge of ITIL practices preferred.Responsibilities:Configure, maintain, and optimize monitoring solutions using Dynatrace.Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and performance health checks.Monitor infrastructure, systems, and applications to ensure performance and availability.Define and adjust alert thresholds to minimize false positives.Partner with infrastructure and cloud teams to analyze performance trends and capacity planning needs.Utilize monitoring tools to track application performance and transaction flows.Support troubleshooting efforts by providing monitoring insights during incidents.Contribute to root cause analysis and identify monitoring gaps.Recommend improvements to monitoring standards, documentation, and alerting strategies.Support integration of monitoring tools with IT service management platforms.Should Have:Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.Ability to interpret system performance metrics and monitoring data effectively.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams.Skills:Infrastructure and application monitoring.Dynatrace and APM tools.Cloud platform monitoring.Incident response and root cause analysis.Scripting and automation fundamentals.Performance analysis and optimization.
