Receiving Supervisor

Responsibilities Verify all received merchandise against invoices, purchase orders (POs), and bills of lading (BOLs). Ensure all required receiving paperwork is complete and that products meet company quality standards. Maintain full traceability by assigning internal Julian lot numbers to all inbound edible and ready-to-eat ingredients. Break down received cases and label every individual component with the appropriate Julian/internal lot code. Store products using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures in all storage areas. Properly organize inventory in dry storage, freezers, and designated coolers for meat (Halal and Non-Halal), fish, and produce. Lead and supervise the receiving team while maintaining accurate records of all incoming goods. Monitor supplier performance, including on-time delivery and compliance with company quality specifications. Distribute merchandise internally according to food safety and storage requirements, ensuring all meat and fish deliveries are weighed. Follow HACCP and all food safety standards, including FIFO, date marking, proper storage, and completion of receiving documentation, while performing other assigned duties. Qualifications Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads and prolonged standing. Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials as required. Works effectively both independently and as part of a team. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to quality. Comfortable working in hot and cold environments. Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Experience in food industry receiving, storage, and merchandise handling. Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience. Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures. Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs.
