Acts in lead capacity to other nursing staff.Essential FunctionsMaintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.Record patients' medical information and vital signs.Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.Performs other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.QualificationsEducationAssociate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.Licenses and CredentialsRegistered Nurse [RN - State License] required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS Certification] preferred. Basic Life Support [BLS] Certificate preferred. Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification [NRP] preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification preferred.ExperienceClinical nursing experience 2-3 years required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesFamiliarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment. Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships.
