LOCATION: The InnOVative Learning Center (Adult Education) POSITION: Part time Custodial and Maintenance Apprentice JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Custodial and Maintenance Apprentice. In this role, you will learn the skills necessary to perform a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks, including cleaning, organizing, and repairing equipment. You will work under the supervision of our staff and receive hands-on training to develop your skills and abilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be either a scholar in good standing at the ILC or an external candidate. Available to work up to 10 hours per week, including weekends and holidays if needed. Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Basic knowledge of custodial and maintenance duties is a plus, but not required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Learn to perform custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting furniture and fixtures, and cleaning restrooms and other common areas. Learn to perform basic maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, lawn care, painting, and repairing equipment. Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas, inventory, and supplies. Follow safety procedures and guidelines when using cleaning materials and equipment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks and address any issues or concerns.
