Senior Data EngineerJoin the ECI Group's Professional Technical Services Network as a contract Sr Data Engineer. This is a Houston based contract role with an anticipated 4-month duration with an estimated start date of August 24th. Note: You must be a US Citizen or Permanent US Resident to qualify for this position.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions.Develop and implement enterprise-grade big data platforms supporting analytics and reporting.Optimize data processing, storage, and pipeline performance.Partner with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Lead data engineering efforts across moderate-complexity projects.Support modern data architecture and identify opportunities to improve development, testing, and deployment processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies.Ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability across solutions.Mentor team members and provide technical leadership when appropriate.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of Data Engineering experience.Strong experience building enterprise data pipelines.Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, SQL, and Python.Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake technologies, and ETL/ELT processes.Familiarity with CI/CD and modern deployment practices.Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.Experience working in Agile environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting advanced analytics and reporting platforms.Experience leading technical workstreams or mentoring other engineers.Experience working in large enterprise environments.Please Note: The ECI Group uses AI-assisted tools in the early stages of application review, with all decisions guided by human oversight and fully compliant with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ECI Group's applicable data protection policies and Privacy Notice.
