Are you?About the Role:We’re looking for a Scientist on the Research/Biologics team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Associate Principal Scientist, you’ll be involved in developing and screening novel gene editing therapies to support Insmed’s growing gene editing therapies pipeline. You will collaborate closely with peers across the research organization to bring therapies to patients in need.What You'll Do: In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to support Insmed’s early-stage research pipeline, turning ideas into groundbreaking medicines. You’ll also:Collaborate with peers within gene editing team and broader research teams to evaluate gene editing therapy candidate properties and functionParticipate in designing and producing novel gene editing therapies candidatesDevelop cell-based biological assaysAuthor and review protocols, electronic notebook entries, technical reports, and scientific publicationsMaintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and resultsCommunicate results to peers and management in writing and oral presentationsWho You Are:You have a PhD degree in a Life Science discipline (must be conferred by September 2026).You are or you also have:Expert knowledge and demonstratable hands-on experience in molecular biology including PCR, cloning, protein expression, mutagenesis, and genetic engineeringDemonstratable hands-on experience with independent experimental design or assay development, including troubleshooting, optimization, and data analysisHands-on experience with culturing different types of cells, including transfection and cell-based assaysEntrepreneurial spirit, openness to learning, proactive problem-solving attitude, and strong willingness to take on new challengesExceptionally self-motivated and independent, yet with a positive approach to teamworkExcellent organizational and communication skillsNice to have (but not required):Hands-on experience with flow cytometryHands-on experience with NGS workflows including library constructionHands-on experience designing and executing high throughput screensHands-on experience with protein purification and enzymatic assaysWhere You’ll Work This role is based in our Bridgewater, NJ research facility and requires full-time, in-person presence to support hands-on collaboration, access specialized equipment, and/or operational needs.Travel RequirementsMinimal travel expected#LI-MC1#LI-ONSITEPay Range:$103,000.00-131,000.00 AnnualLife at Insmed At Insmed, you’ll find a culture as human as our mission—intentionally designed for the people behind it.
