Join Our Exciting Team as a HI-PACU Nurse - Variable Shifts Job Description: - Location: Hawaii - Position: PACU Nurse (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) - Experience Requirement: 2 years in critical care RN roles (ER & ICU accepted as substitute for PACU experience) Key Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional care to patients in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery. - Demonstrate advanced knowledge of anesthesiology and patient care. - Assess incision sites, monitor body temperature, and track patient stability. - Utilize critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations. Required Certifications: - Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential preferred. - Other specialty-related certifications (NIHSS & TNCC) are a plus. Equipment Familiarity: - Meditech - PCA Pumps - Pyxis - Braun IV Pumps - Cryocuff - SCD's - Bair PAWS Warmers - HP Monitors - Phillips Monitors Shift Information: - Hours: Variable - No guarantee on hours or shift preference. - Shifts: 8, 10, or 12 hours; Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays. - On Call: 0-3 times per month (8-hour nights and 24-hour weekends/holidays). Additional Requirements: - Active State of Hawaii license required by start of assignment. - Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception needed before contract start date.
