Experienced Product Security Engineer – Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Level 3 Product Security Engineer to join our Cybersecurity Innovation team in Seattle, WA or Everett, WA. The role is responsible for ensuring the security, safety, and resiliency of all digitally‑connected, in‑service BCA airplanes through development and support of system developments, methods, and tools. Responsibilities Assesses risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of the product assets and production systems in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. Develops security requirements and coordinates with different systems stakeholders. Develops technical data and documentation in accordance with requirements and system security engineering processes and procedures for internal reference and external delivery. Coordinates with penetration testers to validate coverage and impacts to analysis. Develops and reviews certification artifacts under guidance of FAA and Engineering Unit Members. Develops effective and innovative technical solutions with an awareness of consequences of judgments individually and through teams. Performs or leads the development, implementation, and communication of sustainment activities to ensure continued product security, safety, and resiliency of digitally‑connected, in‑service airplanes. Oversees configuration management and security of data, networks, and resources used to ensure continued product security and resiliency of in‑service models. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non‑US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity. Preferred Qualifications Experience in engineering discipline(s) (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software engineering) applied to product related systems (e.g., aircraft, avionics systems) throughout the product development life cycle, from concept development to deployment. Experience in systems engineering and/or airplane configuration integration. Experience in computing equipment and its operating systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, Linux, and Open Source Tools). Experience with vulnerability assessment and/or penetration test. Experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results. Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE), Security+, a CISSP certification, or equivalent Cyber Security certification (CISSP preferred).
