Who We’re Looking For At TFS, we’re embarking on a technology transformation journey, creating next generation products and platforms. We’re looking for a well-rounded Software Development Engineer II to help lead the transformation of our TFS core systems into agile, cloud-native, and service-oriented platforms. This is a full stack role that requires strong technical judgment, hands‑on experience with modern frameworks, and a proactive approach to system design and delivery. You’ll work across backend and frontend technologies, take ownership of key components, and play a critical role in mentoring junior engineers while shaping the long‑term evolution of our core business systems. Key Responsibilities Develop scalable backend services usingJava,Spring Boot, and the broaderSpring Framework. Build responsive UI components usingReactand modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Design and implementmicroservices,REST APIs, andevent-drivencomponents following layered and client-server architecture patterns. Deliver cloud-ready solutions usingAWS SDK, and services such asS3,DocumentDB,Arora, andAmazon MSK. Deploy containerized applications toAmazon EKSusingDocker, with CI/CD support viaJenkinsandArtifactory. Write robust tests usingJUnit,Mockito,Ready API,Postman, andSeleniumto ensure code quality and reliability. Work withNoSQL databases, implement effective caching strategies, and manage builds usingMavenandGitHub. Document and test APIs usingSwaggerand participate in peer reviews, architecture sessions, and production support efforts. Champion best practices in DevOps, code quality, and scalable design. What You Bring 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficient inJava,Spring Boot, andRESTful APIdevelopment. Experience withAWSservices includingEKS,S3,MSK,DocumentDB, andElastiCache. Solid background inmicroservices,event-drivenarchitecture, andcloud-native design. Familiarity withNoSQL databases,caching, andreal-time streaming. Strong experience withDocker,CI/CD tools(e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory), andGit. Hands-on testing withJUnit,Mockito, and API testing tools. Added Bonus if you have Experience withAmazon Corretto,Netty,Tomcat, or embedded server configurations. Familiarity withAmazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK). Knowledge of API documentation usingSwagger/OpenAPI. Exposure toReady APIand service-level test automation.
