Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Somervell Consulting Clinic, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining an ongoing caseload of clients, establishing rapport and positive relationships to facilitate effective therapy.

• Conducting regular meetings with clients to assess their progress towards therapeutic goals, stability, and readiness for discharge when appropriate.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each client.

• Keeping accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.

• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate new clients’ needs and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Facilitating individual therapy sessions each week, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote mental wellness.

• Engaging in regular individual supervision for continued professional growth and support.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this position, you should possess the following:

• A Master's Degree in mental health counseling or a closely related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida.

• The ability to fulfill credentialing requirements within relevant clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or populations affected by substance abuse.

• Proficient experience in conducting assessments, creating diagnoses, and providing individual and group therapy.
