ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
I opened my agency in 1996 and currently lead a close-knit team of three. I graduated from Georgetown College, played football, worked in construction materials sales, and then joined State Farm as an adjuster before opening my own agency. I'm a lifelong Louisville resident, the proud father of five, a former middle school football coach, and enjoy golfing whenever I get the chance.

Serving our community has always been important to me. I'm active in my church, have coached youth sports and community teams, and enjoy building lasting relationships with the individuals and families we serve.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As an Account Representative for Mike Shelton - State Farm Agent, you are vital to our daily business operations and customers’ success. You help grow our agency through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agency departments. You improve the lives of customers by proactively marketing relevant products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market products and services to help meet those needs. 
• Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed. 
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding product availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
• Promote successful and long-lasting customer relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in sales (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred.
• Experience in managing customer relationships preferred.
• Interest in marketing products and services based on customer needs.
• Communication skills - written, verbal, and listening.
• Dedicated to customer service.
• Able to anticipate customer needs.
• Able to effectively relate to customers.
