Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience in trauma and orthopedic care, neuro, vascular surgery, and general surgery Description: Applicants must have trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience due to trauma status. The nurse may need to cover one night shift within their contract as needed. First-time travelers accepted. Weekend availability is required. On-call duty is required, and call will be distributed equally amongst all nursing staff every six weeks. Call could be up to 6-8 shifts in a six-week period, including nights, evenings, and weekends. Candidates may need to float between like units as necessary. Travel experience is required. The position requires knowledge of Epic charting system. Staffing ratios are 10 RNs and 6 surgical techs during the day. Weekend staffing ratios may vary based on unit needs. All travelers must be willing to work two out of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. References are required covering one year of experience within the last three years. Providers may need to float between nearby facilities. Failure to float may result in termination of the assignment. Both day and night shifts are staffed appropriately with RNs and surgical techs.
