Human Active Technology (HAT) is looking for a Buyer who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in balancing cost, quality and delivery to keep operations running efficiently. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you'll manage supplier partnerships, execute purchasing strategies and collaborate across departments to support production, inventory and new product initiatives. What You'll Do Based in our Easton, PA headquarters, the Buyer is responsible for sourcing materials, managing supplier performance and ensuring the timely procurement of components that support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will: Manage the purchasing lifecycle for assigned commodities, including supplier selection, quotations, purchase orders and order follow-up. Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial terms while maintaining high standards for quality and service. Monitor inventory demand and planning requirements, communicating forecast and schedule changes with suppliers. Partner with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Receiving and Accounts Payable to resolve supply, quality and invoice issues. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while evaluating supplier performance for cost, quality and on-time delivery. Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure data integrity within the ERP/MRP system. Support engineering changes, new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve inventory performance, reduce total cost and strengthen supply chain efficiency. Exercise sound judgment, proactively solve problems and make informed decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who combines analytical thinking with strong communication skills and enjoys working cross-functionally to deliver results. Qualifications Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and purchasing best practices. Strong negotiation organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships. Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
