Job Description:

- Location: Spruce Pine (main campus), Burnsville Outpatient Clinic
- Address: 125 Hospital Dr, Ste 222, Spruce Pine, NC 28777
- Shift: 08:00 - 16:30

Unit Information:
- Type of Facility: 60-bed acute care with 2 outpatient clinics
- Total Staff: 19 dedicated professionals

Day Shift Staff Composition:
- 3 Physical Therapists (PTs)
- 3 Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
- 2 Occupational Therapists (OTs)
- 1 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- 1 Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Patient Ratios: 9-11 patients per day per Full-Time Equivalent (FTE)

- PT modalities
- Pool
- Cardiovascular equipment
- Biodex balance system
- Fitness center

Electronic Medical Records (EMR):
- Acute care: CERNER
- Outpatient: Nethealth Xfits (formerly ReDoc)

Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Required Skills:
- Outpatient and Acute Care Experience

- Preferred Skills:
- Orthopedic/Sports Med/Spine
- Manual Therapy
- Vestibular/Vertigo/Stoke experience

Typical Procedures Include:
- Therapeutic exercises
- Manual therapy
- Vestibular rehab
- Balance training
- Gait training

Personality Traits for Success:

- Outgoing and enthusiastic

Additional Information:
- Dress Code:
- Acute care: Purple scrubs (eggplant)
- Outpatient: Business attire or polo-khakis

- Weekend and On-Call Schedule:
- Rotation every 5th weekend
- Only priority patients seen on Saturday (average 2-3 hours)
- No Sunday visits

- Positions Available: 1
- Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Contract Duration: 91 weeks
