About the Opportunity ASR International Corporation, with over 40 years of experience providing engineering, construction management, and technical services to the U.S. Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified HVAC/R Technician to support the USAF at Hurlburt Field, Florida.
This position is embedded in the Operations Flight (CEO). The role provides hands-on technical support for repairs, maintenance, and construction-related activities involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems supporting Special Operations facilities.
Services are performed on-site at Hurlburt Field in support of a Performance Work Statement (PWS) dated 15 June 2026.
Position Summary The CEO HVAC/R Technician will deliver high-quality, timely technical support services and deliverables. Work includes hands-on HVAC/R support, troubleshooting, technical assessments, safety coordination, and documentation while meeting strict performance thresholds for quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities HVAC/R Technical Support & Field Activities: • Provide hands-on technical support for DoD or commercial HVAC/R systems responsible for repairs or construction. • Support deliverable reviews, technical assessments, troubleshooting, and documentation for operations and maintenance activities. • Coordinate with facility managers and receive safety briefs on work-area hazards.
Technical & Administrative Support: • Maintain files, organize documentation, and provide administrative support. • Deliver monthly status reports and support Quality Control Plan requirements. • Use government ADP systems and maintain data repositories while handling only CUI-level information.
Compliance & Professional Standards: • Ensure all work avoids inherently governmental functions; do not make binding decisions, obligate funds, or sign contracts on behalf of the Government. • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and professional appearance while on duty. • Complete required training (Level 1 Anti-Terrorism, Information Assurance certification per DoDM 8140.03) and maintain current CAC and base access. • Comply with energy saving conservation practices and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
Minimum Qualifications • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years as a DoD or commercial HVAC/R technician responsible for repairs or construction. • Education: N/A (no degree requirement). • Citizenship & Access: U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), successfully complete NACI/SF85 background investigation (position of trust for unescorted base access and system access), and complete required Information Assurance certification. No access to classified information; CUI handling only. No foreign nationals permitted. • Strong troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills. • Valid U.S. driver’s license (for on-base operations).
Preferred Qualifications • EPA Section 608 certification or equivalent. • Prior federal or Air Force facility HVAC/R experience. • Knowledge of energy conservation practices and safety protocols.
Work Environment, Schedule & Location Location: On-site at Hurlburt Field, Florida (desk space and government-furnished computer with unclassified network access in Building 90053). Field and shop work on HVAC/R systems is required. No routine travel outside the Hurlburt Field perimeter is expected.
Hours: Core base hours 0730–1630, Monday–Friday. Contractor may adjust hours as needed for timely completion at no additional cost to the Government. No work required on 11 federal holidays. Performance is not mission-essential during crises unless directed in writing.
