The RMP Promise
Rocky Mountain Prep is a movement of educators, families, scholars, and advocates committed to changing public education in Colorado by democratizing college access for historically marginalized students and families. We operate twelve college-preparatory schools serving students from early childhood through twelfth grade, and we are fundamentally a world-class learning organization that invests deeply in every educator who joins us. Teachers engage in ongoing coaching and professional development, supported by clear expectations, transparent feedback, and opportunities to strengthen their craft and advance along individualized career pathways grounded in our PEAK values. Rooted in a culture of rigor and love, RMP promises to coach, develop, and champion every team member so they can do their best work and grow as professionals, people, and leaders.
Our Approach to Literacy Intervention
At Rocky Mountain Prep, literacy intervention is not remediation but acceleration. We believe every middle school scholar can become a confident, critical reader and writer when provided with precise, data-driven instruction and affirming, identity-centered learning experiences. Through our MTSS framework, Literacy Interventionists deliver targeted Tier II and Tier III support that addresses unfinished learning while keeping scholars engaged in grade-level texts and tasks. Using whole group, small-group, and individualized instruction, they analyze real-time data to identify root causes of reading challenges in areas such as decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, and design responsive lessons that build foundational skills alongside critical thinking. Grounded in our culture of Rigor and Love, intervention prioritizes scholar voice, discussion, and meaningful engagement with diverse, complex texts so students see themselves as readers, thinkers, and leaders. In partnership with families, classroom teachers, and school leaders, Literacy Interventionists ensure scholars receive aligned, cohesive support that accelerates growth and expands future opportunity.
