Registered Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist Location: Rumford, RI 02916 Pay Range: $44–$46/hour Annualized Range: Approximately $83,600 – $87,400 per year based on a 36-hour work week Position Overview We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a modern dental practice that prioritizes quality care, strong patient relationships, and a concierge-level clinical experience. This role supports one-hour recall appointments, thorough preventive care, and detailed clinical documentation in a safe and compliant working environment. Hygienists also have opportunities for professional growth through participation in a Hygiene Executive Committee that supports and leads the hygiene team. Schedule Monday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Tuesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Wednesday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm Additional Notes Previous dental hygiene experience highly preferred Responsibilities Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust and rapport with patients Enhance oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers Thoroughly document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints Take diagnostic x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor patient progress Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when needed Educate patients on at-home care and long-term oral health maintenance Qualifications Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Rhode Island Current CPR/BLS certification Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient screening, and detailed clinical documentation Any additional certification or licensure required by the state to perform assigned duties Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly compensation within the posted range Quarterly bonus opportunity based on individual performance Flexible health and vision insurance plan options 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Generous paid time off: accrue up to 3 weeks annually, plus an annual personal wellness day Hygiene Executive Committee participation opportunities Exclusive in-house dental program with discounted services for employees and immediate family members Annual scrub allowance through uniform partners Additional fringe benefits and ongoing team perks Full benefits are available for full-time employees working 30+ hours per week.
