About the Position

We are seeking a NP/PA in Michigan to support its Cardiovascular Surgery service .

The APP team supports both Cardiac and Vascular Surgery services. This is a rounding-only position with no operating room responsibilities .

Schedule & Call

• 4-day, 10-hour shifts

• 1 weekend per month (solo coverage)

• 1 in 4 weeks call (first call from home)

Patient Volume (Approximate)

• CVICU: 2–3/day (up to 8)

• CVSU: 2–5/day + discharges

• Vascular: 4–10 patients (mostly floor, often consults)

• Weekends: 15–30 total patient list

• Average daily census: ~15 patients/day

• Travel reimbursed:

  • ✈️ Flight

  • Hotel

  • Rental car

  • Mileage (IRS standard rate)

• Board Certified NP / APP — Required

• Active Michigan license or NLC — Preferred

• BLS & ACLS — Required

• Clean malpractice & license history — Highly Preferred

Certifications Required

• BLS

• ACLS
