You will learn how an in-house legal team supports a publicly-traded company and contribute to work that has a direct connection to Enact's mission of helping more people achieve and sustain homeownership.As part of our legal team, you will do varied, meaningful work from the start: negotiating agreements, researching legal and regulatory issues, supporting audits, and advising on business projects. We welcome applicants who are curious, business-minded, and eager to become trusted legal advisors at Enact.LOCATION Enact Headquarters, Raleigh, NC – Hybrid ScheduleYOUR RESPONSIBILITIESProvide legal counsel, support, and guidance on applicable federal and state laws and regulationsDraft and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts and non-disclosure agreementsReview marketing materials, social media postings, and customer communications for compliance with applicable lawsConduct legal research and advise the business on regulatory compliance matters in connection with ongoing business projects and initiativesRespond to regulatory and customer auditsPartner with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and customer needsMonitor new legislative and regulatory requirementsYOUR QUALIFICATIONSJD from an accredited law schoolMember in good standing of at least one state bar2-5 years legal experience at a law firm, regulatory agency or in-house legal department, doing progressively more challenging workInclusive and open mindsetStrong prioritization, organizational and interpersonal skillsProficient written and verbal communication skillsTeam player, dedicated to maintaining meaningful collaborative relationships with both internal and external constituenciesAbility to focus on details while maintaining attention to strategic prioritiesFlexibility and ability to perform in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environmentAbility to persuade others, positively influencing outcomesCommitment to continuous improvement and excellencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience in insurance or the mortgage industryCOMPANY Enact Holdings, Inc.
