Job DescriptionJob DescriptionApplication Engineer - New YorkLocation: Midtown, New YorkEmployment Type: Full-timeSalary: $130,000 to $150,000Role SummaryINNOVA is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical application and equipment-selection support for HVAC projects. The role works closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Technical Services and Project Management to develop accurate, practical solutions and support projects from initial inquiry through technical approval and handover.Key Responsibilities● Review project drawings, specifications, schedules and design requirements to determine suitable INNOVA equipment and configurations.● Prepare equipment selections, performance data, technical schedules, submittals and responses to consultant and contractor questions.● Assess application requirements including capacity, airflow, electrical supply, controls, installation constraints and accessory compatibility.● Support quotations with accurate technical scope, product configurations and documented assumptions.● Work with Engineering and manufacturing to resolve nonstandard applications, technical deviations and product questions.● Coordinate technical approvals, revisions and project handovers with Sales and Project Management.● Support customers, consulting engineers, contractors and representative firms with clear product and application guidance.● Maintain accurate product selections, technical correspondence, project documentation and CRM records.● Identify recurring application issues and contribute to technical guidance, product training and process improvements.● Escalate design, performance and installation risks to the appropriate technical authority.Qualifications● Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant HVAC application experience.● Experience in HVAC applications, equipment selection, mechanical design or technical sales support.● Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and performance data.● Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls and installation requirements.● Clear communication, accurate documentation and effective coordination across technical and commercial teams.● Experience with selection software, CRM systems and drawing tools is an advantage.Success in the RoleAccurate selections and submittals, timely technical responses, clear project handovers.
