We are looking for a dependable and experienced Line Cook / Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.

This position has part- or full-time availability.

Compensation for this position is based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
• Set up and stock assigned stations before service
• Ensure all food is prepared properly and served in a timely manner
• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, portioning, sauces, and other kitchen prep
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper portion sizes
• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
• Assist with inventory management, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock
• Help minimize food waste and control food costs
• Work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Assist with supervising and directing kitchen staff during service
• Help train and support line cooks and other kitchen employees
• Assist with menu preparation and daily specials as needed
• Ensure kitchen operations continue to run efficiently in the Chef's absence
• Follow all health department and restaurant safety guidelines
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Completion of culinary school or equivalent professional kitchen experience
• Line Cook experience required (school or work experience); Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
