Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:The Equipment Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties toevaluate, inspect, design, install, analyze, repair, maintain, and improve production and facilityequipment. These actions will be performed according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenancesystems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives in an ISOcontrolled production environment.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance andservice.Understanding FDA regulations and ISO standards applicable to department operations andconsequences of nonconformanceFollow applicable manufacturing OSHA safety regulationsPerform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facility’sequipment.Perform and document service repairs following manuals and standardized proceduresMonitor and maintain all preventative & non-routine maintains of equipmentExamination of malfunctioning equipment to determine the appropriate service, including but notlimited to: disassembly of equipment, defective parts inspection, and testing of electrical andmechanical components.Generate service estimates, providing a detailed list of required parts and labor hoursInterface with other manufacturing personnel and engineeringPerform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic,troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Utilize a variety of tools such as screw drivers, hand drills, pliers, and special fixturesAssists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of equipmentReconcile and maintain accurate parts inventoryMonitor that equipment and facilities are kept suitable for their intended use: where necessary,communicating needs for maintenance, repair, etc., to the Production ManagerAssist other areas of the manufacturing operations on an as-needed basisRepresent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all respectsKnowledge and Background Working with Equipment:Hydraulic PressPlanetary MixersRoll MillsAir CompressorVacuum PumpsFilling MachinesEducation, Experience, Skills, & Abilities:Technical training and/or at least 5 years of hands-on experience servicing equipmentPrevious cGMP and/or ISO experience preferredAbility to read, interpret, and follow diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other writteninstructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipmentAbility to use measuring instruments such as a caliper and a scaleProficient in the use of small hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, nut drivers)Hand-eye coordination, agility, and dexterity are requiredBasic computer skills (i.e., cut and paste)Good organization skills and attention to detailGood interpersonal and communication skillsUtilization of lean manufacturing techniques preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
