This position will float to our HeartPlace Imaging Clinic locations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Explains procedures to patients and obtain informed consent from patient. Administers all in-office nuclear scans including PET CT. Images, processes, and formats images for physician interpretation. Maintains cleanliness of nuclear room. Documents test results to physicians and patients, as directed by the physician. Verifies patient appointments the day before, to ensure use of isotope. Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing, i.e., “do not take any medication 24 hours prior to visit.” Nuclear Medicine Technologist will assist physicians as needed. Maintains current CPR certification. Always adheres to company safety standards. Follows other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period. Performs all other duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Degree or appropriate certification training. Minimum two years’ experience is preferred but not required. ARRT and/or NMTCB registry and current Texas licensure in Nuclear Medicine. Current CPR certification.
