Summary: Responsible for leading assigned employees in the successful completion of assigned tasks, projects, and job duties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist with training and developing department staff, as assigned
• Provide direction to assigned staff and oversee projects assigned to staff
• Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks
• Proper preparation and presentation of food
• Ensure sanitation and cleanliness of station
• Maintain preparation consistency
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members
• Performs other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Familiar with operation of kitchen equipment; general sanitation procedures; overall basic food handling
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• Verify right to work in the United States

Work Environment:

Potential Conditions:

• Frequently required to walk and stand for long periods
• Use hands to hold tools utilized for position
• Reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
• The work environment is characterized as a kitchen setting where standard kitchen equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
