This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a club. The Assistant Coach will play a critical role in executing and reinforcing the club's daily high-performance environment. Working closely with the Head Coach, technical leadership, and performance staff, the Assistant Coach will help execute the club's playing philosophy, develop players, prepare the team to compete, and create a culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We are seeking a coach who is passionate about developing people, embraces innovation, understands the demands of professional soccer, and thrives in an environment where building, learning, and competing happen every day. This role is for a coach who wants to make an impact—not only through match results, but through the growth of players, staff, and the overall club environment.

The Assistant Coach supports the execution of all first-team sporting operations, including training preparation and execution, tactical development, player evaluation, match preparation, and individual player growth. The Assistant Coach will work in close partnership with the Head Coach to implement the club's playing model, maintain a high-performance training environment, and help players maximize their technical, tactical, physical, and professional development. Success in this role will be measured through contribution to team performance, player development, coaching collaboration, preparation standards, and alignment with Carolina Core FC's values and long-term vision.

The Assistant Coach will be evaluated across five core pillars: Coaching Impact, Player Development, Collaboration, Standards & Culture, and Continuous Improvement.

Qualifications include professional coaching experience preferred; experience within a professional, academy, collegiate, or elite competitive environment required. U.S. Soccer A License preferred; candidates actively pursuing advanced coaching licenses will be considered. Experience supporting high-performance teams and developing players. Strong understanding of tactical concepts, training methodology, and player development. Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary sporting environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to preparation. Passion for developing players, coaches, and the overall soccer ecosystem.
