Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide skilled physical therapy assistant services in a small, home-like skilled nursing facility to support residents' rehabilitation and recovery. Collaborate with licensed therapists to promote patient mobility, independence, and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individual treatment plans for residents.
• Evaluate residents' progress and modify therapy techniques accordingly.
• Support residents in performing therapeutic exercises and functional activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress notes.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment to prevent injuries and promote healing.

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Proven experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively under supervision of a licensed PT.
