Maintenance Assistant – 1st Shift
Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour
Location: Texas
Schedule: 1st Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Assistant to join a busy manufacturing facility. This position will assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and metal stamping equipment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Job Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment, including lubrication and greasing.
Assist with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical equipment.
Disassemble machinery and repair or replace worn or defective parts.
Use hand tools, power tools, and basic machine tools to complete repairs.
Assist with moving and installing equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records.
Follow instructions from maintenance leads and management.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications
Previous industrial maintenance experience required; 5 years preferred.
Experience with metal stamping or fabrication equipment preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Must have own set of hand tools.
Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, blueprints, and work instructions.
Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
Work Environment
Air-conditioned manufacturing facility.
Industrial metal fabrication and stamping environment.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
Pay & Schedule
$20.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
