Operating Room Circulator - Full Time

Location Juneau, AK

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Full time. 410-hour shifts, Tuesday-Friday. On-call required.

Job Description The Operating Room Circulator position is a critical role within the Operating Room of a regional health consortium. This role involves managing all stages of surgical cases, including elective and emergency procedures across various specialties such as abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular, and OB/GYN. The Circulator will ensure smooth operations throughout the day, adapting to the needs of the surgical team and utilizing after-hours call services as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the operating room for surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure timely progression of cases.
• Handle after-hour call services for operating room coverage as needed.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist in inventory management of surgical supplies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN or ADN).
• A valid, current, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an OR Circulator.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience in Critical Access Hospitals and/or Rural Operating Rooms is strongly preferred.
• Flu vaccine required.
