Job Title: RN - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current hospital acute care experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 1-year current hospital acute care experience - BLS & ACLS certifications Description: This seasonal travel position is for an RN in the Operating Room. The shift is from 7 AM to 7 PM, Saturday through Monday with one additional rotating weekday shift covering the night shift. The unit comprises 14 operating rooms, including one hybrid cardiovascular OR and one cystoscopy suite. Staffing includes 14-16 RNs and CSTs on day shift, supported by clinical charge RNs. Patient ratios are 1:1. Standard OR equipment is used, including Stryker video systems and EMR systems. Typical procedures performed include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries. Transplant procedures are not performed in this unit. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and adaptability. Patient experience is a priority. On-call requirements are from 5 PM to 7 PM one day a week and weekend on-call once every six weeks. This position offers the opportunity to work with an experienced team in a dynamic environment.
