Compliance Specialist - Strategy, Design, & Transformation

McKinsey & Company

Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You've come to the right place.

YOUR IMPACT

You will support the overall Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function modernization plan and related initiatives, driving the E&C program strategy and objective setting and working directly with E&C leadership to develop and maintain the annual compliance program and related initiatives.

Additionally, you will support initiatives to enable E&C program leader's goal setting and planning, ensuring all areas of E&C are consistent and in line with the overall program strategy. You will work in the E&C's Strategic Operations & Regulatory Response pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm adheres to global regulatory and reporting requirements and expectations.

You will be responsible for supporting and leading initiatives that drive global E&C program effectiveness, with a distinctive focus on continuous improvement. You will lead key initiatives that enable the broader E&C function to be successful and will be expected to facilitate collaboration with your team and leaders both within E&C and across our firm. Additionally, you will support and manage initiatives and projects with a focus on analyzing key processes and controls. You will support and manage improvements with a particular focus on simplification and optimization of the end user experience.

You will also support the management of the overall E&C technology ecosystem. You will work with the Compliance Manager, Design & Transformation, to manage E&C technology solutions, assisting in the implementation of new technology solutions and recommending ways to integrate and consolidate our dedicated E&C tools. You will also support change management efforts to ensure initiatives and projects have proper adoption and engagement by stakeholder groups. You will partner with the Strategic Operations team to implement change management strategies.

You will assist in tracking performance metrics to determine areas of efficiency and effectiveness related to E&C processes and controls and monitor KPIs and other related indicators to ensure we are responsive to design and optimization activities. You will also contribute and be a thought partner within the function, in addition to supporting key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives, as relevant.

Additionally, you will engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction and coordination of our regional E&C leaders, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of and further the firm's E&C program, and other agreed-upon supporting activities in your region or location.

Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups (e.g., Legal, Risk, Finance, Procurement) across our firm in a timely and efficient manner on existing, new, or enhanced procedures, policies, or guidelines. Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices.

The E&C function's mission is to manage risks to our firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling our firm's client impact and innovation. The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured in a way that ensures it is well designed, empowered to function effectively, and works in practice. Our E&C program includes a clear message that misconduct is not tolerated as well as policies, procedures, training, monitoring, and consequence management to ensure the program is well-integrated into our firm's operations and workforce.
