This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, follows direction closely, practices strong jobsite safety, and is motivated to grow in the electrical trade./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliAssist electricians under direct supervision by handling materials, tools, and jobsite support tasks./liliMaintain an organized work area by keeping materials, tools, and equipment orderly and clean./liliDemonstrate safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment./liliBend conduit to support installation requirements./liliInstall electrical equipment, including switchgear, panels, and starters./liliPull and terminate wire to support electrical system installation and repairs./liliInstall light fixtures, lighting controls, and electrical devices of all types./liliTroubleshoot electrical systems under supervision to support repairs and safe operation./liliRead and follow safety rules, policies, and MSDS documentation as required./li/ulh3Who You Are/h3ulliHigh school graduate or equivalent preferred./lili3-5 years commercial electrician at an apprentice level/liliReliable transportation to and from work./liliAbility to work in outdoor elements based on job location and season./liliAbility to maintain required tools onsite at all times./liliAbility to work overtime, night shifts, and extended schedules as required./liliCommitment to wearing required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, and respirators when required./liliStrong attention to safety, teamwork, and following instructions in a construction environment./li/ulh3Physical Abilities/h3ulliAbility to routinely lift and move heavy objects more than 50 pounds./liliAbility to crawl, stand, stoop, bend, crouch, kneel, sit, and reach throughout the workday./liliAbility to push and pull objects as required for jobsite tasks./liliAbility to perform repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers./liliAbility to work from ladders, including step ladders up to 14 feet and extension ladders./liliAbility to relocate up to a 12-foot step ladder independently./liliAbility to work at heights, including up to 90 feet, using ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other approved work areas./liliAbility to work in restricted spaces such as switchgear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics./liliAbility to perform physically demanding work as a primary job function for more than 70% of the workday./li/ulh3What Youll Get/h3pZekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
