CGI Federal is building the next generation of VA's Medical Disability Examination (MDE) program, and we're looking for people who want their work to directly improve Veterans' benefits outcomes. The Medical Director serves as the senior clinical authority for the MDE contract, providing leadership, oversight, and quality assurance for all medical examination activities performed under this program. The Medical Director ensures that contract medical examinations meet VA standards for accuracy, completeness, and clinical integrity. This role supports front line Examiners, promotes consistency in medical evaluation practices, and ensures alignment with VA disability examination requirements. The Medical Director must be a licensed physician (M.D. or D.O.), in good standing with a State Medical Board, board certified in a relevant specialty, and possess at least 5 years of experience directly related to VA disability examinations. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Washington, DC.
