We are looking for Cafe Shift Leaders who: Value a positive work environment Bring energy and a smile to work every day Enjoy serving guests and meeting new people Want to work in a culture that promotes continued development DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Interacts with crew members and customers with a fun and welcoming attitude Proficient in all areas of daily cafe operations including preparing food and smoothies, operating the register, following cleaning checklists, and monitoring inventory levels Ensures each station is operating to Tropical Smoothie Cafe standards Trains and coaches crew members during each shift to ensure brand standards are maintained Uses tools to monitor and achieve labor and inventory goals Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms and other areas in the café Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds to refill ice, restock shelves, and take out trash Follows all safety and security policies established by Tropical Smoothie Caf BENEFITS Excellent pay Discounts on amazing smoothies and food Paid training Referral program Advancement opportunities Paid time off (full-time employees) 401K matching (full-time employees) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 1 year of experience in the restaurant or fast-casual field Experience in providing excellent customer service Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front of the house and back of the house Basic computer skills Effective verbal and written communication skills WORK ENVIRONMENT Positive, fun, upbeat atmosphere, where teamwork is a must and individuals are valued Clean environment: NO grease, NO fryers! We started by blending fruits and vegetables together to create unique and refreshing smoothies. And customers lined up for our tasty creations. Then in 1997, we opened our first cafe in Tallahassee, Florida. Guests now had a place to sit and relax while we made their favorite smoothies. Two years later, we added a range of wholesome food options to complement our smoothies, all made fresh. We started as a destination for flavor, and it’s a proud heritage that we continue today. We are guided by a simple belief: when you eat better, you feel better.
