The Nursing Assistant provides direct care to inmates under the direction of a Physician, Physician's Assistant or a Registered Nurse and or Licensed Practical Nurse. Among the key duties of this position are the following:Implements physician/associate practitioner orders within the scope of practice under the auspices of a Registered Nurse.Assists with feeding, bathing, and other inmate activities of daily living (ADL's) as needed within the Health Service Unit.Assists the physician/associate practitioner with procedures as needed, including preparing the inmate for the examination.Assists with the cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner.FLSA - NonexemptGrade - 137Salary DetailsMinimum Salary - 21.040Mid Range Salary - 21.540Maximum Salary - 22.190Benefits - Rutgers provides a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees.
