Registered Nurse PACU

Call for Salary Rate - Job Summary: Provides specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring their respiratory and cardiac stability. Monitors patient status continuously, administering treatments and medications as prescribed to promote safe and effective recovery. Responsibilities: Assess patients’ needs regularly and deliver skilled nursing services in accordance with physician-approved care plans and nursing standards. Administer medications, treatments, and perform clinical tasks such as transfers and responding to alarms. Evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment plan and collaborate with team members to update or revise care strategies. Process physician orders accurately and promptly, ensuring timely execution of care interventions. Follow up on medication changes and clarify orders to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience is required. Valid Michigan license and active Maryland or Nursys license. Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. NIHSS certification is required. Demonstrated competency in relevant skills and knowledge per recent skills checklist.
