DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned
- Floor manage student crews during events and rehearsals
- Act as crew lead during rentals, touring events, and rehearsals
- Stage manage events under the direction of the auditorium manager
- Supervise students working in all areas of the auditorium
- Assist in minor auditorium, facility, and equipment maintenance
- Set up and tear down of event equipment and staging
- Commitment to regular and predictable attendance

- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Aptitude for working well with students, staff, and the public
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism and composure
- Satisfactory background check
- Associate's degree or higher preferred; will consider others with commensurate experience
- 2-4 years of technical experience preferred
- Working knowledge of:
- Single purchase counterweight rigging systems
- Programmable light boards (ETC EOS environment) and theatrical lighting equipment (conventional, LED, and moving head)
- Live audio mixing with digital mixing boards
- Stage carpentry and/or scenic painting
- Communication: The employee must have clear speaking and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively and appropriately in person and on the telephone. Ability to write business correspondence in a professional manner. Ability to present information to small and large groups.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to use good judgment in making decisions.
- Interpersonal: Maintain and encourage a safe environment for all students, staff, and the community. Effective organizational skills. Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to be flexible in dealing with staff, students, parents, and the community. Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, dependability, honesty, and self-motivation while performing the duties of the position. Exhibits a positive image as a representative of the school district.
- Mathematics: Ability to apply the concepts of basic math, algebra, and geometry consistent with the duties of this position.
- Environmental: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but the employee is exposed to high noise levels during performances and rehearsals. The employee must be able to work in varying lighting conditions, such as bright stage lights and dark backstage areas. The employee is rarely exposed to weather conditions.
