Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN

Position Overview Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (Private Residence) Shift Care – City of Irvine. Working Monday through Sunday. Shift availability: Morning, Mid Day, and Night shifts. Hours flexible. Full‑time and part‑time positions available. Salary: $29.00 – $31.00 hourly + $500 bonus. Keeping families whole by providing the care they need to stay together. Job Summary A qualified Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse administers one‑on‑one skilled nursing care to patients on an hourly (shift care) basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and the plan of care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Services are furnished in accordance with Agency policies. Qualifications Graduate of a state‑approved school of practical (vocational) nursing and currently licensed in California. One year experience in nursing is a plus; new graduates welcome. Current CPR certification. Acceptance of the philosophy and goals of this Agency. Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Responsibilities Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures. Implement the nursing care plan for each patient. Provide nursing services, treatments, and diagnostic and preventive procedures as assigned. Initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as appropriate. Observe signs and symptoms and report to the physician and RN reactions to treatments, including drugs and changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition. Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home. Prepare clinical and progress notes.
