Role Description The Certified Medical Assistant will work full time on-site at Strand GI Associates, P.A. in Myrtle Beach, SC, supporting gastroenterology physicians and clinical staff. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, assisting with procedures, obtaining vital signs, documenting patient histories, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of medical records. The role involves coordinating patient flow, scheduling and confirming appointments, managing phone calls, and supporting front office operations as needed. The Medical Assistant will provide direct patient care, including patient education, preparation for endoscopic procedures, and follow-up instructions, while maintaining strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols. Collaboration with nurse practitioners, physicians, and administrative staff to support efficient, patient-centered care is essential. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Medical Assisting and Patient Care to support clinical procedures and ensure a positive patient experience. Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with providers and accurately document clinical information. Candidates should possess familiarity with Medical Office operations, including scheduling, phone etiquette, and coordination of patient flow. Candidates should possess experience with Medical Records, including accurate documentation, chart management, and use of electronic health record (EHR) systems. Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) from an accredited program. CPR/BLS certification and understanding of basic clinical safety and infection control practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to support diverse patients and staff. Prior experience in gastroenterology or specialty care is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
