Job Summary As the Senior Auto Mechanic, you will not only have the responsibility of performing repairs/services needed, but you will also directly supervise and mentor other mechanics in the shop. Responsibilities Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use. Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures. Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions. Document work order with 3C’s. Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations. Dispatch repair orders according to skill level. Maintain direct communication with management. Perform other relevant duties to the role as they arise. Education and Experience Years of Experience: 5 yrs min. Resource Management Skills Management of Personnel Resources: Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
