Troy offers a welcoming small?town atmosphere, affordable cost of living, and access to outdoor recreation, making it an attractive place to live and work.ResponsibilitiesAs a Line Operator I at our Troy plant, you will operate high-speed automated packaging equipment used to fill, cap, label, and prepare peanut butter products for shipment. You will help keep the packaging line running safely and accurately while protecting product quality, food safety, and the appearance of every finished package. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable learning equipment, completing changeovers, and responding to routine operating issues.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate packaging equipment according to product specifications and make adjustments as needed.Verify the correct packaging materials and date codes before and during production.Monitor fillers, cappers, labelers, case sealers, packaging quality, and case printing.Complete required production and machine documentation accurately, including downtime logs and work order requests.Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, equipment changeovers, and regular deep cleaning after product changes.Identify and report mechanical and nonmechanical issues to the shift supervisor or lead.Maintain a clean work area and follow health, safety, fire prevention, quality, and food safety requirements.Support established programs and ongoing improvement of SQF systems to help produce safe, quality food.Complete other assigned duties that support safe and efficient plant operations.Why You'll Love This RolePlay a hands-on role in producing and packaging peanut butter products used by families.Build practical skills in automated packaging equipment, changeovers, troubleshooting, and quality checks.Learn through on-the-job training and cross-training with experienced team members.Join a team environment recognized locally for engagement, collaboration, and work-life balance.Location & Travel RequirementsWork on-site at the Troy Plant, 101 Hudson Street, Troy, Alabama.3rd shift hours are 11 PM to 7 AMWork eight-hour shifts, with overtime, weekends, and holidays required as business needs demand.Travel requirement: up to 10%.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required.Required QualificationsAbility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.Ability to follow product specifications, safety practices, quality requirements, and food safety procedures.Ability to complete accurate production records, machine logs, and work order requests.Preferred QualificationsPrevious manufacturing or packaging experience preferred.Mechanical aptitude and experience using tools or completing minor equipment repairs preferred.Success in This RoleConsistently checks details and identifies product, packaging, or equipment concerns.Communicates operating issues clearly and works effectively with supervisors, leads, and teammates.Adapts to changing production needs and demonstrates a willingness to learn.Takes ownership of safe work practices, cleanliness, quality, and reliable equipment operation.
