Surgical Services TechnicianWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Surgical Services Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting surgical procedures through the management and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and sterilize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies according to established protocols and standards.Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure the availability and proper functionality of instruments before procedures.Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes and equipment usage.Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including ANSIA/AAMI, AORN, and Title 22 standards.Perform high-level disinfection and ensure cleanliness of the surgical environment.Assist in the assembly and management of case carts for surgical procedures.Effectively communicate with team members and other departments to support patient care.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD) is required.Minimum of one year experience in a relevant healthcare role is preferred.Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices is essential.Ability to lift and carry twenty-five (25) pounds and tolerate prolonged standing.Proficient in basic mathematical calculations and computer literacy.Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Additional InformationThis position may require rotating weekends and holidays as part of the schedule.
