PREOP PACU PROCEDURAL REGISTERED NURSE

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients. Responsibilities include continual evaluation of patients’ conditions, delivering patient safety, comfort, and privacy, assisting physicians during procedures with conscious sedation, utilizing sterile techniques when appropriate, and providing comprehensive patient care for patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family care in preparation for discharge. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Active RN license in the state BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit Strong communication skills, verbal and written Pay Hourly wage: $34–$53 (based on experience).
