Description Summary
Responsible for supporting the safe, efficient and well-maintained operation of Artis-Naples facilities by performing routine building maintenance, preventive maintenance, minor repairs, event setup support, grounds assistance and timely reporting of facility needs through established work-order and safety processes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, doors, hardware, fixtures, lighting and general building systems within scope of training and authorization.
• Conduct routine inspections of assigned areas, tools, equipment and building components to identify wear, damage, unsafe conditions or preventive maintenance needs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and assist with documenting completed work, recurring issues, parts used and items requiring follow-up through the organization's work-order process.
• Assist with exterior grounds maintenance, campus appearance, debris removal, pressure washing and preparation of public-facing areas before and after events.
• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting and complete assigned painting, patching, touch-up and finish repair work.
• Safely operate approved maintenance tools and equipment, including ladders, lifts, carts, hand tools and power tools, in accordance with training and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized and secure work areas, tool rooms, storage areas, maintenance carts and equipment; notify supervisor when supplies, parts or tools need replenishment or repair.
• Set up, move and break down tables, chairs, office furniture, staging support items and other equipment as requested for meetings, programs, performances and special events.
• Follow all safety, security, lockout/tagout, chemical handling, personal protective equipment and incident reporting requirements; promptly report hazards, injuries, damage or urgent repair needs to the supervisor or Safety & Security.
• Provide courteous, responsive service to patrons, artists, visitors, volunteers, vendors and team members while working in public, backstage, administrative and outdoor areas.
• Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and late hours, including short-notice schedule changes or urgent facility needs. QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Experience, Competencies and Core Values Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three or more years of experience in building, facilities, venue, hospitality, campus or commercial maintenance operations preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, certifications and hands-on maintenance experience may be considered.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, tools, safety practices and work-order documentation is preferred. Competencies
